Poland - Krakow

On the other side of Market Square is Krakow's Cloth Hall. King Kazimierz the Great approved the construction of this trade building in the 1300s to replace the informal trading stalls. Comparatively, Krakow had minimal bombing in WW11 as it was invaded in the first month of the war and the socialist leader lived here. Many of its old buildings, such as this, escaped the destruction other cities endured.
